“This is a time for grieving,” said the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, who mentioned that previous tries had been made to displace the three family members in the past.

The president of the region of Veneto, Luca Zaia, explained the property was subject to an court order due to financial obligations accumulated by the siblings.

Mediators had been sent to talk with the brothers and sister who had secured themselves into the home. When the officers reached the location shortly after 03:00 (01:00 GMT), authorities think one of the residents set off the blast.

A gas canister had been activated, and the explosion precisely impacted our members,” he added.

Molotov cocktails were also located at the property, the Interior Minister stated.
